*Position = Jr .Automation Test Engineer Location = Rochester, NYDuration = Long TermRate Max =$45/hr* *EAD , GC , USC , TN* Qualified candidates for this job opportunity will be responsible for performing the necessary testing tasks including: executing automation test cases as well as manual testing, analyzing software requirements, creating test cases, entering defects into a defect tracking database and providing testing progress to the identified project staff. *TECHNICAL SKILLS* • Skilled in various testing techniques that include, Functional, System, Performance, and Acceptance testing. • Must be able to create and execute automated test cases •Some manual testing duties may be required. • Working technical knowledge in testing software for the following operating systems would be nice to have but not required: Windows 8.x, iOS 7/8, Android 4.x. • Exhibits enthusiasm in the use of software as well as in the pursuit and resolution of issues. • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall} • Skilled in identifying test cases from User Stories and Software Requirements. • Create Software Test Specifications and\or Test Plans • Work with the development team to identify test areas and resolve defects • Execute necessary test cases to ensure compliance with customer specifications and documentation • Provide estimates for the project's testing task(s) • Identifies, analyzes, and documents software program defects, errors or inconsistencies • Monitors software performance (both actual and perceived}, identifies program variances from standards, and suggests modifications to ensure efficiency of operation • Generates defect reports and metrics for weekly status reporting • Testing knowledge in Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari • Understanding of testing mobile applications and mobile websites • Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Test Manager, and Visual Studio 2013 • Understanding of XML, JSON, and SOL, are beneficial to position • Able to review software analytical data and information to pinpoint defects *EDUCATION\EXPERIENCE* • 2 or more years of software testing experience preferred. • Testing automation and development experience is required.
