*Position:* Python Network Virtualization Software Engineer
*Start 1/19/2015 * *Location:* *Sunnyvale, CA - locals* *Duration:* 12 months plus Contract *Key:* Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers. Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and develops fixes. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 5years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. *Responsibilities:* • Design and develop Rest and messaging based software infrastructure interfacing to Wireless Access Gateways and Routing Gateways • Design and develop low latency/high throughput server infrastructure components to handle large volume of transactions • Analyze requirements, design and development, integration and support • Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal and external audiences. • 5-7+ years’ work experience or equivalent programming in one or more of the following: Python, C/C++, GoLang • 5+ years experience with Layer 2, Layer 3 and/or Layer 4 network protocols and technologies • 3+ years’ experience with Network Virtualization, NFV and SDN • Prior experience developing middleware to interface with networking infrastructure desired • Solid understanding of algorithm complexity, parallel/distributed systems, advanced data structures, computer networking and operating systems • Development expertise in REST/SOAP/JSON API • Development expertise in Rest Server, Web service programming and XML/HTML • Working knowledge of NoSQL and MySQL databases a plus • Proficiency with Python, Django, Flask and distributed system frameworks • Prior experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies • Start-up environment experience • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
