*Positoin: MSSQL DBA* *5-7 years of experience Duration : 1 year +* *Location : Wilton, CT* *We need someone who has worked in financial research/portfolio management/trading * Looking for talented DBAs to join a high caliber team to build and operate mission critical financial research, portfolio management and trading databases. The environment is a highly automated MSSQL Server 2008/2012/2014 virtualized platform utilizing the latest compute and storage technology. The responsibilities will include • Day-to-day management of a centralized MSSQL Server platform • Working with application development and support teams to resolve service requests and incidents within agreed upon SLAs • Being the first line escalation point for database issues • Reviewing and fixing issues with database backups, maintenance, monitoring and performance and other common faults The desired candidate • Has 5+ years of *MSSQL Server* administration experience • Has experience managing high availability and recoverability of MSSQL Server databases in a 24x7 environment • Has working knowledge of backups, maintenance, log shipping, mirroring, monitoring, indexes, server configuration, profiler etc. • Has working knowledge of T-SQL scripts • Has excellent written and oral communication skills.
