The successful candidate will be adept at clarifying and documenting requirements, designing and developing 3-tier solutions in the Microsoft technology stack. The candidate will have an opportunity to work on highly visible projects which have a material impact on advancing various energy reliability concepts in the Western Interconnection. The position requires excellent analytical, teamwork and communication skills to work effectively within the company. Major Duties: => Develop .NET software in an agile development process => Design and develop reusable Library and SOA components that can be leveraged by all applications. => Design and develop solutions in 3-tiers – UI, Business and Data. => Serve as the primary developer on several upcoming BES projects which involve key membership stakeholders. => Work with the software architect and other developers to conceptualize new and innovative productivity enhancements for the team. => Work with stakeholders to refine developed products. => Create and maintain system related documentation Minimum Qualifications: Education => Bachelor's degree (BS) and Master of Science (MS) degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience resulting in demonstrated ability to perform major duties. Experience/Skills => Minimum four years direct work experience, excluding academic course work, with Visual Studio C# or VB.Net & ASP.Net Web Development => Demonstrated working proficiency in standard office software applications including MS Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and Outlook => Good organization and communication skills, both oral and written, are essential to success in this position => Excellent business writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver clear and concise presentations => Ability to set and meet deadlines and conclude assignments with minimal external prompting => Ability to work within a defined Agile development process => Must be able to interact effectively with internal customers and deliver capability with precision Preferred Qualifications: Above minimum qualifications any or all of the following: => Proficiency in the latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio C#. => Proficiency with advanced Design Patterns, Messaging Constructs and SOA concepts. => Able to deploy SharePoint solution packages, web parts, application pages, event receivers, timer jobs, and features. => Understands PowerShell. => At least Intermediate-level development experience with SQL Server. => Good understanding of JQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and XSL. => Ability to follow Change Management processes. => Solid understanding and experience creating and maintaining WCF services.
