The intermediate-to-advanced Application Developer/Data Analyst will provide development support to the Application Maintenance Services (AMS) Team currently staffed with both DEP staff and other consultants. The AMS team provides maintenance and support services for over 80+ agency business applications, in a variety of technologies. This position will support the Division of Waste Management’s software applications, primarily focusing on Oracle Forms, PL/SQL and data analysis activities as a back-fill for an existing maintenance resource for a six(6)-month period. Specific duties are outlined below in the task list. Tasks: Provide maintenance, enhancement and support for a variety of the agency’s business applications. Analyze, map and migrate data from one system to another Assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications. Research and document requirements of program users. Write, translate and code software programs and applications according to specifications. Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines. Work with network administrators, systems analysts and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems. Qualifications The Consultant must meet or exceed the following qualification requirements: Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): 6+ years’ experience with Oracle Forms and PL/SQL Knowledge of relational and object-oriented database designs. Knowledge of object-oriented design methodologies. Knowledge of Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM). Knowledge of database security, including role-based security. Ability to be creative, to use sound judgment, and to display foresight to identify potential problems and design/specifications and assigned application software systems. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to work independently. Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
