In particular, 5.5 and 5.6. -Strong experience with various MySQL and open-source monitoring tools in addition to writing custom database-monitoring scripts -Strong experience securing MySQL databases and implementing additional security best practices -Familiar with various database backup and recovery strategies -Experience with various features of MySQL; like replication, partitioning, clustering etc. -Strong SQL tuning skills and experience migrating/upgrading MySQL databases and applying required patches -Experience converting business requirements into technical database specifications utilizing latest MySQL features and strong system administration experience supporting various platforms
