Position: Sr. Java Developer
Location: Tallahassee, FL Duration: 14-36 months rate: 50$ on c2c *JOB DESCRIPTION* Develop enterprise-level JAVA applications utilizing *JPA, XML, JSON, RESTful-based* web services*, JavaScript, HTML while also utilizing Angular JS and a Modern UI frameworks such as Bootstrap CSS. *The Senior Developers will analyze existing application code and business rules to develop software modules and unit test on behalf of ICS’ state government customer. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* · This is professional programming and analysis work as a part of a team supporting three applications and hundreds of users throughout the state. · Responsible for systems analysis, design, development, quality assurance and integration. · Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements. · Responsible for gathering, compiling and synthesizing information with regard to technology processes or systems. Employees in this class are responsible for performing moderately to highly complex programming and systems analysis work on projects with integrated systems that impact multiple applications to support end-user needs. · Requires full proficiency in *JPA, JSON, XML, RESTful-based* web services*, JavaScript, HTML, Angular JS and a Modern UI framework such as Bootstrap* *CSS* and other technologies as identified by the customer and project leader. *ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* · It is *CRITICAL* for successful candidates to have the ability to *communicate in the English language clearly via written and spoken word* to multiple stakeholders including peers, mid-level and senior leadership. · Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested. *QUALIFICATIONS:* The developer shall, at a minimum, meet the following requirements or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience: Experience: • 5+ years’ experience in Java Frameworks such as *Struts 2/Tiles*, *Servlets/JSP*, *JPA/Hibernate*, *JSF*, *JAX-** • 2+ years’ experience in *XML, HTML and CSS, JavaScript* • Experience with modern UI frameworks such as *AngularJS, knockout.js*, etc. • Experience using *Subversion and Maven 2* • Experience with database query tools (i.e. *TOAD, SQLDeveloper, SQLNavigator*) • Knowledge of relational and object-oriented database designs • Knowledge of object-oriented design methodologies • Knowledge of functional programming methodologies (e.g. JavaScript) • Knowledge of Information Systems Development Methodology (*ISDM*) • Knowledge of database security, including role-based security • Knowledge and experience with Unified Modeling Language (*UML*) • Ability to be creative, to use sound judgment, and to display foresight to identify potential problems and design/specifications and assigned application software systems • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others • Ability to work independently • Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing • Working hands-on with all aspects of the *System Development Life Cycle* • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Process knowledge and experience with *Agile* software projects • Ability to document code developed by an analyst *EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with advance education in fields related to position or equivalent experience *LANGUAGE SKILLS:* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the English language.
