6-12 Months Contract ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ø Provides Technical input, helps to create and prioritizes long term testing strategy and roadmaps without sacrificing short term needs and goals. Ø Expected to pro-actively contribute to vision and testing strategies Ø Out of the box thinker who can apply industry leading Test Automation Frameworks / harnesses as required. Ø Drives, Develops and Implements good functional, Unit Testing Practices and Data Frameworks. Develops, expands and maintains good automation scripts Ø Able to work with different levels of the organization to provide technical assistance and/or advice on test strategies and quality practices. Ø Proactively injects into product architecture and design reviews to make any improvements and refinement and helps to incorporate testable requirements into design. Ø Acts as subject matter expect for Software testing standards, processes, methodology and tools. Ø Pro-actively seeks to make continuous improvements to test coverage, execution and automation. • Provides guidance to others in carrying out QA duties, while performing technically advanced responsibilities. • Develops test strategies and plans. Oversees the development of and/or develops and maintains test data. • Develops and delivers verbal and written status reports. • Performs system quality assurance testing by executing test plans. Reports, documents, and tracks resolutions for software “Defects” identified in the testing process using approved tools and processes. • Assists in the confirmation of problems reported from outside sources, and assists system development staff in understanding problems and desired resolution. • Participates and/or leads peer reviews of software artifacts • Assists in the identification, selection, and implementation of software tools and technologies, and testing techniques and procedures that facilitates the SQA process. • Performs a variety of technical tasks which includes: conducting routine tasks in conformance with set procedures within the department; conducting regular technical functions, interacting with users or other departments; performing complex technical functions, evaluating systems or procedures and recommending action or changes; designing, developing, modifying and/or testing applications, systems and procedures; establishing and documenting procedures for carrying out technical duties, in compliance with best practices or new technology; and being accountable for compliance with regulatory requirements and development/oversight of strategic planning for technical function. Required Skills:* Must understand and practice Agile concepts and mindsets Must be able to change directions quickly and ramp up within a 2 week time frame on most work tracks Selenium Rational functional tester SoupUI SQL should have in-depth knowledge of software development, design and architecture. The role requires the following skills Ø Programming, application architecture, design and development skills (Required). Ø In depth knowledge of several/lots of test techniques/methodologies. Ø In depth experience of working across all (ok lots) of development methodologies Ø In depth knowledge of the system or application-under-test (desirable) Ø Diagnostic and problem solving (Required).
