I have a 1+ year long Business Analyst, Email Archive and Retention Project
requirement for the Commonwealth of MA,
Job Title: Business Analyst, Email Archive and Retention Project
Worksite Address:  One Ashburton Place, Boston, MA Travel between
Chelsea/MITC and Boston Agencies frequently in addition to occasional trips
to other Agency locations across the state as needed to meet with
management/customers/users.  Longer-distance travel is not expected to
occur that often but may be necessary during the planning phases of the
installation.
Project(s) Duration:  Potentially 1 year +
Hours per Week:  37.5

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accurately and concisely capture specific data and business requirements
from agencies via interviews, workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site
visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, etc. and convert those
requirements into clear, comprehensible language/diagrams. Work closely
with the Project Manager and the solutions vendor to integrate these
requirements into comprehensive, complete and accurate business, functional
and non-functional requirements.
• Working closely with the Project Manager to conduct technology reviews to
ensure that requirements and specifications are correctly interpreted for
each adopting agency.
• Working closely with the Project Manager, agency stakeholders, and
assigned project teams to prioritize and complete each agency’s specific
preparation and implementation tasks. Analyzing and verifying all
implementation plans for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility,
feasibility, and conformity to standards.
• Preparing and delivering stand-up presentations to agency groups
presenting and explaining the new product, impact and plans.
• Communicating changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally and
through written documentation to agency staff involved in the project and
other agency stakeholders so that issues and solutions are clearly
understood.
• Assisting in the development of customized training materials and
communications for specific agencies.
• Providing support from initial presentations of the new solution through
preparation, testing, and trial migrations, and ultimately full migration.
• Explaining how the proposed solution will interface with existing systems
and desktop applications.

Required (must haves):
• Experience preparing and publishing communications to senior levels of
management.
• Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis,
elicitation, verification, and documentation. Proven ability to translate
technical requirements & specifications into user-friendly language.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication
skills with all levels of staff and management, technical and
non-technical, in an organization
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Ability to organize workflow in order to accomplish multiple and changing
priorities within specified timeframes
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Experience working on projects with attorneys and other legal staff, and
familiarity with legal terminology.
• Experience with desktop e-mail archiving/vault solutions
• Experience developing web based documentation with tools such Confluence
or other tools
• Local, state or federal government experience
