Position Summary: Client’s IT team is looking for a dynamic individual with a strong blend online design, analytical & development skills. This individual should have experience working in a fast-paced environment where online marketing and operations is a critical component. The ideal candidate should have worked in a B2C eCommerce environment. The Technical Lead will be involved in enhancing existing applications as well as developing new applications in support of the evolving business at Synapse. In addition, the ideal candidate should be comfortable performing a variety of roles and interacting with a broad range of individuals including peers, management, and the business teams. Education and Skills: B.A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science, or equivalent Minimum of 7+ years software development experience Track record of strategic technical leadership Excellent communication, both written and verbal Ability to guide team through conceptual, high level and low level designs Extensive knowledge of the following technologies: Java, Oracle Experience in modern dynamic languages (Groovy preferred) Proficiency with atleast one modern web framework (Grails preferred) Experience on Weblogic or Tomcat Modern front-end Javascript libraries (jQuery) Experience with REST/JSON APIs Experience with Git and CI tools Testing frameworks (Junit) Experience with performance testing and tuning The following would be a plus: Twitter Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, LESS Experience with Groovy, Grails. Experience with jQuery.
