Looking for a Linux RHEL admin with Oracle environment and Puppet experience. Comm skills need to be very strong for this client. Straight contract so HIB is OK. Any retail is a plus. *Linux Admin with Puppet Experience* *Location: Columbus, OH* *Duration: 3-6 Months with strong possibility of renewal* *Summary:* The Contract UNIX Administrator role requires strong collaboration with UNIX Team members as well as Application Development Teams to support day-to-day operations within IT Infrastructure. This person will be responsible for working with Management and the UNIX Team to determine daily administrative or engineering duties. *Responsibilities:* · Works on day-to-day project or maintenance tasks as directed by leadership · Works with other team members and app dev teams to resolve tickets · Coordinates and implements system patches and firmware · Build/implement new systems to design standards · Perform troubleshooting and problem determination · Provides status updates to team members and management · On-Call responsibilities possible for longer-term engagement · Additional duties as assigned u *Required Skills/Knowledge:* - Excellent personal communication, group interaction and organizational skills - 3-6 years of UNIX administration experience with AIX and/or RHEL - Administration of UNIX servers running Oracle 11c and 12c, including RAC - Scripting experience - Strong problem solving, analytical and diagnostic skills - Knowledge of Puppet implementations/experience installing, configuring and deploying Puppet - POWER Virtualization experience *Desired Skills/Knowledge:* - Experience with EMC Storage in an NPIV and/or VSCSI implementation - Other technologies, including Satellite, NIM, VMware, Splunk, Apache httpd, SSL, Postfix, Bash and Perl - LDAP Authentication for AIX/Linux - PCI and SOX requirements - Understanding of networking, database administration and middleware concepts - Retail experience desired Regards: Sam Williams - Recruiting Manager ITBrainiac Inc.
