Located in the downtown Austin area. We are looking for an Admin who knows/enjoys application management (as opposed to an application candidate who knows some system stuff) *Linux Systems Engineer responsibilities:* Responsible for all site reliability planning and management Responsible for applications deployment Responsible for updates and ongoing maintenance of monitoring tools like Zabbix, Elsa, and OSSEC Responsible for ongoing management of build tools like Maven, Jenkins, and Nexus *Linux Systems Engineer required skills:* Expertise in Linux Systems Administration with experience working as part of a team in a production environment. Expertise Linux package management, including building packages manually, adding them to a repository, and deploying through package management tools like yum and apt. Strong knowledge of at least one Java application server (preferably Apache Tomcat or JBoss) and webservers. Fluency in shell scripting and a higher-level scripting language (such as python) to automate routine tasks. Knowledge of encryption like PGP and SSL Knowledge with a build system tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Nexus.
