*Job Description:*

*Technical/Functional Skills*

•             -              Cognos & QlikView Administrator:

o             Support of our Production & non-Production environments.

o             Backups

o             Environment monitoring (server & O/S; Cognos limited)

o             Issue resolution

o             Providing issue tracking and problem resolution services
including delivering RCA after critical interruption or outage

o             O/S upgrades

o             Performance tuning of environment

o             Working with and infrastructure to ensure system stability
and longevity

o             Planning and execution of upgrades and patches



-              Cognos configuration changes (including execution of Cognos
upgrades)

-              Migrations – assisting development teams in code migrations
through environments.

-              Capacity planning – Server, memory, disk, licenses.



*Experience Required*

•             4+ years as Cognos BI (10.1+) Administration

•             2+ years as Qlikview Administration

*Roles & Responsibilities*

•             -              Review and implementation of best practices

o             Driving the definition of SLAs for responding and resolving
issues (based on severity levels)

o             Driving the definition of SLAs for implementing environment
changes

o             Designing and implement security models and procedures

o             Release management process and SLAs

o             Reviewing and update environment configuration

o             Assisting in refining existing development processes

-              Assisting developers

o             Troubleshooting and resolving application related issues

o             Tuning of framework packages and reports

o             Managing PMRs

-              Providing some production support duties off-hours and
weekends.
