*Technical skill sets* –
The ALM Tool Engineer is primarily responsible for assisting in the
assessment, customization, implementation, testing and delivery of
application lifecycle management tools either used or being evaluated for
use in the Wealth Management division of Morgan Stanley.  In doing so, the
position requires technical skills in analytic and implementation
capacities as well as the ability to transfer knowledge to Application
Development team members.  The position drives the learning of new skills
while broadening experience with new challenges.  Perfect for the
technically inclined, self-starting team member, the position grants the
ability to learn a breadth of new technology in a team that thrives on
quality, success, collaboration while providing excellent support to their
customers.
















*Expectations & Responsibilities: • Engineering of ALM tools including;
source code versioning, Issue Tracking, Centralized Build and Deployment,
Build Dependencies, Code Review and metrics derived from these tools. •
Tool and process mentoring and training • Automation design, implementation
and testing • Application Linux and Windows server administration and
maintenance • Application server and database Business Continuity and
Disaster Recovery planning and execution. Skillset: • Development
experience on one or more of the following technology platforms: Java,
J2EE, Microsoft .NET, c/C++ or Java Script • Source code dependency
management and automation with  at least one of the following: Ant, NAnt,
MSBuild and make/gmake/nmake, NuGet or Ivy. • Interpretive scripting
development with one or more of the following: Perl, Python, or Ruby. •
Experience with Source Code Versioning and Configuration tools such as Git,
TFS, RTC, Perforce or Synergy • Experience with Centralized build tools
such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Electric Commander, Build Forge or Cruise
Control. • Experience with Defect or Issue Tracking Tools such as JIRA,
Rational Change or Bugzilla • Experience with configuring web components
with one of more of the following: Apache, Tomcat, Siteminder, or SPNEGO •
Other experience with one or more of the following: REST API, JSON, XML
parsing, Batch Scripting, Linux/Unix Scripting*
