The Software Release Manager will work within the Commodity Trading & Risk
Management (CTRM) service supporting our CASC businesses in North America
to deliver software releases and projects. The expectation is to lead the
release practices for our critical applications within the CTRM service as
well as software projects with budgets ranging from $50k to $1 myn. This
role demands a strong leader who can partner effectively with all levels of
the organization.
The Software Release Manager is responsible for day-to-day project
management tasks utilizing release processes such as creating, maintaining,
and updating schedules, and coordinating with other project managers,
resource managers, and team members both internal and external to Cargill.
The Software Release Manager will also identify and qualify team risks,
issues and scope changes and assist in their tracking using PMO tools and
processes.

This role will ensure consistent project management processes & tools are
applied according to the rigor of the project.
*Required Qualifications*
• University degree in Business, IT or equivalent experience
• 3 or more years of experience managing or working in small projects
• Knowledge of Project Management methodology
• Expert ability in Microsoft Project
• Experience creating, modifying, monitoring, and entering status in
project work plans
• Excellent organization skills – excels at meeting preparation,
facilitation, note-taking/documentation, action item follow-up
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to
communicate at all levels within the organization
• Able to hold people accountable
• Negotiation, facilitation, stakeholder management
• Strong customer service and the ability to quickly build relationships at
all levels and cross-functional/platform
• Comfortable with ambiguity, changing priorities, and tight timeframes to
complete work
• Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
• Ability to learn our business, be a team player and enjoy working in a
team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem solving/decision-making skills

• Experience operating in a software release process
