*Position: Change Release Manager*

*Location: Sterling, VA*

*Duration: 12+ months contract*


 *Note:  Must be local resource to VA*





*The job description for that is as follows:*

•                    The primary job function of the Release Manager is to
coordinate customer requested configuration changes.

•                    Customers send configuration requests to their
engagement teams, who forward the requests to Operations.

•                    The Release Manager accepts the changes on behalf of
Operations, documents the changes in a formal change ticket and then works
with the Operations teams to schedule and peer review the change.

•                    Scheduling is coordinated with product teams in
alignment with the product roadmap.

•                    Peer review is done in collaboration with the
Application Support team and the Change review board. Once the change has
passed review and is approved, the job of the release manager is complete.
The Application Support team then deploys the change during the approved
maintenance window.

•                    Utilizing and developing skills in managing the
successful delivery of Change through applying appropriate control,
management and governance via the Change Process.

•                    Provide consultancy to customers and stakeholders as
required, specifically focusing on the support of the business cluster to
which the role is aligned.



*Requirement:*

• The release manager role requires excellent communication skills, both
verbally and in writing.

•         You will be coordinating with many remote teams, both onshore and
offshore. It is imperative that you can make yourself understood both in
email and over the phone. The position also requires a high attention to
detail.

•         Customer configuration requests are intricate and sometimes
include hundreds of variables. These variables must be correctly
communicated to all teams if the change is to be successful.

•          It is the responsibility of the release manager to ensure that
all tickets and forms are filled out correctly.

•           Finally, the release manager needs to be familiar with
technology concepts and terms.

•          Requests involve servers, applications, databases and internet
connectivity. You must be able to communicate with engineers and
technicians to get tickets completed.
