*Hadoop Developer/Admin*
Here are the details: 1. 12+ month contract 2. Denver, Colorado 3. MUST HAVE GREAT Communication MUST HAVE Map R 4. A Self starter who can work well with minimal direction. 5. Will set up skype interviews immediately and can have someone start right away. Below is what they will be doing: 1. Architect and own the on-going physical infrastructure and software layer 2. Own the architecture going forward and augmentation of innovation going forward Their tasks will include: Admin Tasks ------------------------------------------- *-Upgrade of MapR clusters MUST* -Adding users/groups/quota's -Installing additional tools like Spark -Setting up Flume in HA mode -Configuring Flume, Logstash and other tools to get data into Hadoop -Working with the network organization to open firewall requests -Deep knowledge of networking including layer 2 at a minimum, layer 3 very helpful -VMWare, KVM, Linux required Programming Tasks ------------------------------------------ -Creating reports with Splunk Hunk sourced from HDFS data -Working with MapRDB and TSDB for time series reporting -Configuring Hive schema -Beginner level Spark experience -Basic understanding of how to apply map/reduce to problems The following is a wish list of skillsets that they would like.
