Job Title: Sr. Data Modeler Location: TX, USA Duration: 6-12 months Contract Required background: 8-10 years of relevant data modeling experience. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field Designed 1-2 end-to-end Data Warehouse models. Expert knowledge of data warehouse and business intelligence concepts and applications. Expertise in Fact-Dimensional & Star Schema Modeling using ERWIN or other industry standard tool. Good knowledge of 3NF Data Modeling Expert in Requirement Analysis, Source Application Analysis & Data Profiling Expert in SQL Designed Fact-Dimensional and Star Schemas on Hive. Knowledge of Hive and Hive QL. Designed data models that integrated MDM sources with the data warehouse. Can design optimized Fact-Dimensional models that consume data from big data sources. Analyze performance bottlenecks and recommend tuning optimizations Designed models for real-time data warehouse applications. Good knowledge of ETL and Reporting /Visualization techniques and tools like Informatica, Data Stage, Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, SAS VA, etc. Interface with ETL and Reporting teams to load and consume data into/from the data model. Design and direct the information access and delivery effort, security requirements, metadata standards for the data warehouse Strong verbal and communication skills Good to have functional knowledge of Oil & Gas industry.
