Position: .Net consultant with big data experience Location: Wash DC Duration: 6-12 months Requirements: Exposure to Big Data (Data Warehouse) Apache Hadoop is a must for long term efforts Oracle Database enviroment experience Knowledge of the following technologies: Silverlight, XAML VB.NET AND C# (both) NET 4.0 and the Microsoft technology platform IIS - create new sites, configure and deploy applications, familiarity with config files Winforms .NET WebServices (WCF, RIA, ASP.NET WebServices) Below experience is a plus. Java HTML 5, XML, CSS Entity Framework, MVVM, ASP.NET MVC and related application frameworks SQL Server AND Oracle (both) - writing stored procedures and PL/SQL, use LINQ and other database access mechanisms Knowledge and advocate of best practices (standard naming conventions, architecture) Prior experience in Electric Utility business or knowledge of Electric Utility business is desired. In the absence of Electric Utility experience, a demonstrated ability to quickly adapt and learn new industries / business process is a must.
