Description: The Software Engineer position is a part of the full life cycle software development process. This individual will design, develop and maintain system components. They will be responsible for analyzing clients’ needs and developing software solutions. This individual will be interacting with team members on a daily basis. They must have analytical, problem solving skills and have a hands-on approach to tasking. This employee will lead tasks and have supervisory responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications Creating a work break down structure to aid in the managing of task assignments and schedule Actively participates in organization’s software development policies and procedures Recognizes software programming problems/issues and begins to provide solutions Communicating project schedule, budget, delivery issues and resource concerns to the Project Manager Competencies and Abilities: Experienced with Java Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design Experience with an Object Oriented programming language Understanding of Relational Databases Experience with Open Source Software Knowledge of software build and deployment processes, procedures and tools Core Technologies: Geo Tools, Geo Server, UTS, Spatial DB (Ex.
