*Job Description*

   - Installation/Upgrading/Patching Versions include SQL Server
   - Deploying/Upgrading/Maintaining SSIS/SSRS/SSAS
   - All kinds of Backup and Restore Activities using native backup process
   and using any other 3rd part tool.
   - Monitoring Instances, Configuring and Enabling alerts using SCOM or
   any other 3rd part tool.
   - Performance Tuning/Troubleshooting the issues at
   Instance/Database/Query Level.
   - High Availability Configurations for Log
   shipping/Mirroring/Clustering/Replication/Always on.
   - Capacity/Security/Auditing/Compliance - Planning
   - Power Shell Scripting
   - Operating System Windows 2003/2008/2012. In Physical/Virtual
   - Could Experience Azure/AWS etc...
   - ITIL Process implementation (Incident/Problem/Change/Release
   - Good Onsite/offshore and Client coordination
   - Providing 24X7 Support and maintenance to all the Database Instances
   of OLTP/OLAP.
   - Upgrading SQL Servers from 2005 to SQL Server 2008/2012, Upgrading of
   SQL Server 2005 to 2008 R2 in a complex environment. Upgrading Servers from
   2008 to 2012.
   - Experience in troubleshooting, Integration Services, Reporting
   Services, Analysis Services.
   - Applying Service packs and Hot fixes on all the environment servers
   (DEV, UAT, and PRD).
   - Contacting Microsoft by creating a ticket with Microsoft support if
   - Moving the DTS, SSIS packages from UAT server to PRD Servers, changing
   modifications to DTS and SSIS packages according to the user requirement in
   PRD servers. Maintaining SSIS DB.
   - Monitoring/Troubleshooting Log shipping /DB
   - Creating the Problem tickets, Change Requests, Work Orders and follow
   ITIL Process.
   - Backup/Restore, Index Rebuild/Defrag. Adhoc Backup/Restore of the
   database by means of SSMS/Lite speed tool/Tivoli storage manager tool.
   - Respond and Troubleshoot database related problems reported by
   - Adding Linked Servers (SQL Servers, Oracle DB Servers).
   - Analyzing and troubleshooting the long running queries, blocking
   - Refreshing UAT and Reporting instances with production data.
   - Automate the routine tasks.
   - Preparing KA documentation.
   - Experience in anyone of the Financial Clients would be added advantage
