The software architect is responsible for project management and application design and expected to perform other technical tasks, frequently handling the more technically challenging aspects of the system and/or applying their deep technical expertise to solve most challenging technical problems. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Capture initial requirements with details • Understand/Manage project scope and Vision • Plan for work and provide iterations/estimates • Create high level overview/ conceptual design • Create architecture and functional specifications with Developer(s) • Create test plan / Perform unit test • Coordinate testing with users • Provide guidance on coding standards and best practices. • Assign projects and manage workload of development staff • Monitor and manage incident/service request queue QUALIFICATIONS • 5+ years embedded software development experience • 5+ years SDLC experience, 2+ years using agile methodologies • Ability to operate in a broad and diverse set of technologies.
