We cannot compromise on either of it here. The person should definitely be very good on Webservices but still should have strong Core Java knowledge.An 8+/10 on Webservice & XML & a 7+/10 on Java should be the ones we should target here. Candidates would need to demonstrate analytical and organizational skills with proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project development environment. *Technical Skills & Competencies:* • Strong programming expertise in Java and XML technologies. • Hands on experience publishing and consuming WebServices using various SOAP and REST frameworks. • Exposure to any SOA Infrastructure (ESB) implementation and/or BPEL would be preferred. • Implemented solutions for high traffic messaging systems. • Hands-on expertise implementing Enterprise messaging exchange patterns (MEP). • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle. • Should have a strong UNIX background. Needs to be comfortable writing Unix shell scripts. • Should be able to profile and performance tune JVM sockets, threads, GC parameters.
