Please provide location and when the candidate can start. *Description:* *Position Summary Description:* The Java Developer will assist in the architect, design, development, testing, and maintenance of J2EE (Java Platform Enterprise Edition) based Telematics solution. This position will interact with a wide array of disciplines including Project Management, Operations, Engineering, Quality Assurance, etc. in a team atmosphere with the goal of bring new products to market as well as maintaining existing products. The position will be required to analyze and understand the existing Telematics System, make architecture decisions based on the knowledge of Java and the full understanding of the existing system, review, analyze and modify interfaces, including coding, testing, debugging and installing to support the organization's Telematics System, architecture, and standards. *Qualifications:* 8+ years of core java (J2SE) development experience in a professional work environment. 3+ years of J2EE (Java Platform Enterprise Edition) based middleware development experience in a professional work environment. 3+ years of PL/SQL development experience writing stored procedures in a professional work environment. Experience in the implementation of large scale java web and middleware applications, J2SE 1.5/1.6, J2EE 5/6, EJB 3.x, Hibernate 3.x, JAXB, SMPP, JNDI, XML, JDBC, Servlet, JUnit, Ant, Maven 2.x, SOAP, Web Services, JSP, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Javascript, Spring, MVC design pattern J2EE design patterns, telecommunication protocols (SMS, GPRS, SNMP, etc.), Linux operating system, JBoss Application Server 4.x/5.x, Oracle 10g database server, SQL tools and ability to write complex queries. Experience with TDD (Test Driven Development) using JUnit/TestNG, build and deployment tools - Maven and Ant, Eclipse based java development IDE and excellent debugging skills. Must have experience and the ability to apply judgment for planning, communicating, and achieving the goals of the position. Must be able to work "Hands on during the design and development of the product and be involved in the change management of the maintenance and enhancements of the product to insure that the future direction is not impacted. Requires in-depth knowledge of Java and similar development products concepts.
