*Job Description*

   - Data architecture - initial creation and design of the databases
   - Looking for a senior resource (ideally), but would consider someone
   more mid-level (they have to know modeling, though)
   - Adding information to the Data Design Document (MASTER DOCUMENT) -
   includes project overview, technical problem, technical solution,
   conceptual data model, data dictionary (new objects), data access layer
   (package or stored procedures), argument list
   - Create tasks in PM tool.  They are currently using Jira, but they are
   moving to Rally.  Serena business manager assigns tasks to developers.
   - Using ServiceNow for Incident Management, Task Management, Managing
   the customer and the information gathered.
   - Collecting business requirements
   - LOE & Capacity Planning
   - Analysis around business requirments
   - Creating new structures in database

·         We are looking for an experienced professional in data modeling
in an OLTP environment to join our Enterprise Data Architecture team.
Critical responsibilities include analyzing data requirements, generating
new design models and working with dev teams for implementation. A high
degree of collaboration with other teams will be essential.

·         Many diverse data domains are in scope, including Customer Master
Data, Call Data, Equipment data, PCI/SOX relevant data, and Account Billing
data. Additionally, continuing business operations will drive data
integration activities with 3rd party partners.



*Job Requirement*

   1. Data modeling (preferably with Oracle) - they have some Hadoop on the
   back-end, but mostly Oracle (SQL or Postgres would be secondary, but Oracle
   is the tool they are using)
   2. Business systems experience - T-Com, Cable, Provisioning, IVR, etc. -
   understanding the business is key
   3. Data modeling tools experience (Embarcadero is what they are using -
   ER Studio Version 9.6) - Erwin is a comparable, more used tool



*Additional information- what ideally looking for:*

   - Someone who can work independently is a good thing
   - Larger company experience is also good, but not a deal breaker
   - Size of environment:  Production Oracle - 10-15 terabytes, Big Data 4
   terabytes, different group has 600-700 terabytes

   - Design and document a vision for a project solution; develop
   Conceptual, Logic and Physical data models
   - Design Data Access Layer specifications and communicate design for
   implementation; must be able to work with teams to deliver great solutions,
   given project deadlines
   - Candidate must be willing to be 100% hands-on, and deliver projects;
   must be able to take initiative to run with projects
   - Constantly look for opportunities to improve processes and deliveries;
   able to create simple, elegant solutions to complex business problems
   - Be flexible to work in a highly dynamic environment; excellent
   communication skills - must be able to quickly communicate the key message
   at the appropriate level for the audience
   - Provide post implementation and on-going production supportA
   successful Data Architect will have the following:


   - Excellent SQL skills
   - Excellent Data Modeling experience
   - Preferred experience in Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models
   - Extensive experience implementing Physical Model DDL
   - Experienced in Data Analysis
   - Experience using ER/Studio or Erwin
   - PL/SQL and Oracle DBA experience a definite plus
