*SAS Admin* *Atlanta, GA* *Long term* *Job Description:* Strong relational database and SQL experienced SAS Administrator provides operational enhancements, maintenance and support of SAS 9.3 environments. This includes providing SAS platform security management, SAS application and underlying infrastructure support and ensuring processes are aligned with tactical and strategic information management initiatives. The SAS Administrator also ensures the platform is positioned for compliance with IT policies and standards and agreed upon service levels. Must have full understanding of SAS Metadata logging and reporting capabilities. *Basic Qualification:* • Strong relational database and SQL experience. • 4+ years with SAS 9 implementation, installation, architecture design and administration. • SAS Connect server, SAS Metadata Server, SAS Management Console, SAS Object Spawner, Web Report Studio, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Model Manager, SAS Customer Intelligence Studio and SAS Enterprise Guide • Experience with Apache/Tomcat. • Strong troubleshooting techniques for basic and advanced infrastructure issues. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Skills: • Unix administration experience. • Experience with SAN and NFS file systems. • Experience with trouble ticketing systems. Primary Responsibilities: • Ensures the overall health of the SAS platform • Applies maintenance releases, upgrades and hot fixes as required • Designs solutions to reduce the operational and management complexity of the platform • Designs, implements, and maintains platform security • Performs platform capacity planning and management • Serves as an escalation point for escalated production and/or platform issues. • Establishes best practices and guidelines for usage of the SAS platform • Be able to translate a customer’s business needs to a specific analytical solution. • Have a firm understanding of the capabilities of the SAS analytical procedures. • Be able to generate written documentation of all work performed. • Have a customer-focused demeanor, effective oral and written communication skills.
