Opportunity *Summary:* We’re looking for a self-motivated Java Developer with top-notch software design and development skills to join the Power Steering product line at Upland Software at our Medford, MA office. This person needs to be able to operate in a fast paced environment, assimilate quickly and develop solutions with minimal oversight. We want someone who is a great team player. Primary Responsibilities: · Analysis, design and development of innovative software applications using the latest in Java technologies and frameworks · Troubleshoot and resolve production problems to maintain 99.9% uptime for Power Steering’s customers. · Participation in the overall design and direction of our company wide applications. · Work in an Agile environment with a cross-functional team of developers, QA, BA and other stakeholders to enhance system functionality, reliability, performance and scalability. Requirements: · 5+ years working with large scale, distributed software architectures · Expertise in Core Java, JEE and open source frameworks. · Expert with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS · Solid knowledge of OOP and best practices design · Experience with relational database design (MS SQL) · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Self-motivated with a passion for technology and problem solving · BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent · Experience with HTTP web server technologies Experience with agile development methodologies · Working knowledge of Maven build process and version control systems like Subversion/Git · Knowledge of common JavaScript libraries, like AngularJS and jQuery · Experience with RESTful web services We offer a casual and collaborative work environment, a generous benefits package and significant growth opportunities.
