Will help support our digital platforms and products. The ideal candidate will have a broad background with experience in both linux/unix and Windows environments with a combination of Sys Admin, Developer skills, and DBA. Candidate will have exposure to all applications; work with multiple groups(Dev, QA, DBA’s, Architecture, Media Production, Sales, Marketing) and be key in shaping the future environment in support of the growing business. *Major Responsibilities:* Support and deploy complex in-house and 3rd party applications, product code & content. Coordinate with other IT resources (DBA’s, Developers, QA, Customer Support, Architect) in supporting all environments. Apply in-depth technical analysis of application issues to solve customer reported problems. Monitor, identify and resolve performance related issues in a 24/7/365 environment. Assist in documenting, identifying opportunities for improvement and stabilizing critical applications. Provide off-hours support via pager on rotation schedule. *Requirements* 5+ Years of experience administering linux/Unix(RedHat, Ubuntu, Solaris) systems. 5+ years of MS administration experience, with a focus on IIs, app pool, .net configuration and monitoring/instrumentation. Experience with Web Servers Technologies including IIS, NGINX and Apache(with emphasis on NGINX). Experience with Database Systems including MSSQL, MySQL Experience with No-SQL Databases including MongoDB Experience administering PHP and .NET Applications Experience with Caching Technologies Experience with Systems Automation technologies(with emphasis on Puppet). Experience with Reverse Proxy technologies including nginx Experience with supporting a 24x7 Web Technologies stack Experience with enterprise monitoring/alerting (Gomez/New Relix/Nagios). *Pluses* Experience with centralized logging technologies(1 of following: Splunk, logstash). Understanding of networking and network flows Understanding of Loadbalancer technologies including F5 Understanding of Firewall technologies Experience with Search Technologies including Solr and Elasticsearch Experience with Automated build and deployment systems Experience with version control systems including GitHub, svn *Experience Needed:* Ability to work well within a team, to learn and share knowledge. Highly collaborative (through the use of Wiki’s + other tools) with strong interpersonal verbal and written (English) communication skills. A desire to learn and improve skills and increase knowledge of yourself and your colleagues. Energetic and enthusiastic with strong work ethic. Ability to work under pressure and remain even keeled. Ability to multiple ongoing work streams simultaneously.
