*Position*: * EMC SAN Engineer* *Location*: Nashville, TN *Length*: 6 months w/option for additional time *Start Date*: ASAP* * *Overview:* Must have knowledge of the industry trends, future storage possibilities, and over all technical direction as well as be able to mentor others in the team to grow their knowledge base and experiences. Requirements: 1. Must have 2-3 yrs experience with EMC platforms including EMC Storage (DMX, VMAX, SRDF): a. Backup/Restore Operations, b. File System/Volume Mgt, c. Performance Tuning, d. Best Practices KT, e. BC/HA Planning & Design, f. Capacity Planning & Design, g. DR Planning & Design, h. Runbook Design & Dev 2. Mid to Sr. understanding of SAN experience (Cisco/Brocade/McData), 3. Perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with internal best practices. 4. Maintaining multi-tiered storage infrastructure leveraging EMC hardware and software 5. Participate in the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plans. 6. Participate in the design and operational execution of the customer's storage disaster recovery process. 7. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. 8. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator 9.
