Role: Business Analyst
Location: Dover, DE
Duration: 7+ Months

The client is seeking to procure the services of a Business Analyst.
This position will gather requirements, establish standards for project
initiation, construct templates and job aids, and identify and document
gaps in business process for all nine departmental divisions.
Quality Assurance, Test Management and Project Management skills are also a
plus, but are not primary.
The selected candidate will receive direction from IT management and senior
technical peers, and work directly with the business teams on requirements,
coordination of testing, and documentation.
The candidate also will work on full project lifecycles with users and
technical team while maintaining a foundational, standardized approach.
The role will be additionally responsible for establishing and maintaining
the documented set of tasks and techniques used to work among stakeholders
in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of an
organization, and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to
achieve its goals.
Candidate must have good business aptitude, excellent communication skills
(both written and oral), and organizational ability.

Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent

Required / Desired Skills
Experience operating as a business analyst within a formal SDLC.
Full cycle business analysis experience - concept/initiation through
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Technical aptitude combined with the ability to interact with various
levels of business users.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proven experience learning and documenting business process from end to end.
Experience defining user requirements and verifying requirements-based
solutions meet business needs.
Familiarity gathering requirements for use in engagement of
vendor-developed solutions.
Analysis, problem solving and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, with focus on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience creating and managing a project or preferably enterprise process
to ensure change control.
Knowledge of logic, databases, data flows, and data analysis.
Experience working with enterprise tools to organize requirements, test
cases, and provide traceability (ex MS Visual Studio/TFS, HP Quality
Experience creating use cases, test scenarios, test plans and analyzing
test results to determine requirements coverage.
Experience working with large amounts of data via data warehousing and/or
enterprise business intelligence
