Java Developer/Build Engineer Plano TX Hiring immediately. Must have Java background – not as a Build and Release engineer but a Java Developer before going into DevOps. They will hire off the phone. Job Description: Responsibilities: • Responsible for the day to day operation of Client's systems and infrastructure that powers our emerging technologies (i.e. ensuring system availability, performance, capacity, and continuity through proper response to incidents, events and problems) • Execute system administration of hosting platforms capable of running on a Java framework • Work with developers to build out CI/CD pipelines, enable self-service build tools and engineer production pipelines. • Find, explore and advocate for new technologies for enterprise use • Troubleshoot and expeditiously resolve escalated software and infrastructure related issues and challenges • Develop procedures to automate various systems and tasks (e.g. automating code builds and deployments) • Explore and evaluate new and emerging software tools and technologies • Experience working in a continuous integration and continuous delivery environment (fully automated production releases) • Experience using continuous integration and build tools: Jenkins or Maven Qualifications Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or military experience - At least 4 years of experience programing in Java <-- This is a MUST. Candidate will be tested! - At least 2 years of experience in system administration/DevOps - At least 2 years of experience working along side development teams administering software delivery tools GIT/GitHub or SVN - At least 2 years of experience working along side development teams administering software delivery tools Jenkins/Hudson - At least 2 years of experience working along side development teams administering software delivery tools Nexus - At least 2 years of experience working with Oracle database - At least 1 year of experience using any of the following application monitoring and log management tools: CLM, Fortify, Sonar, Splunk Preferred Qualifications: - Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology - More than 5 years of experience programing in Java - Demonstrated experience working with developers to build out CI/CD pipelines, enable self-service build tools and engineer production pipelines THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE SOLID DEVELOPMENT SKILLS.
