This is what we are looking for in you: •Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. •Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills. •5+ years development experience with Java. •3+ years development experience with web services, SOAP/REST, JSON, JAXP, etc. •Demonstrated experience with MQ and SOAP over HTTP. •5+ years experience with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation. •5+ years experience working in both UNIX (AIX preferred) and Windows environments. •Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation. •Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment. •Strong SQL skills - knowing how to write SQL that performs is desired. •Exposure to Open Source technologies (Junit, XDoclet, Log4J, Apache-anything). •Must have used at least these repos: SVN/Git Stash/Clearcase. •Hands on experience with Struts/Spring/Hibernate. •IBM WebSphere, Eclipse or IBM RAD (Rational Application Developer). •SOAP engine. •Experience with XPath and general XML processing. •MAF (Message Adapter Framework), MDBs, MBean etc. As an Application Developer, you will: •Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. •Utilize programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation. •Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. •Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. •Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. •Document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/Enhance software application modules. •Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation. •Help prod support by documenting new features/changes.
