level snapmirror technology j. Data migration experience including moving
snapmirror sources from old systems to new systems. k. NDU – Non-Disruptive
Upgrade experience critical in a high-uptime, mission critical environment a
must i. Use of NetApp tools like the upgrade advisor critical ii. Experience
with successfully identifying and resolving issues that might cause
disruption prior to upgrade 1. Space considerations – aggrSpaceCheck.pl
experience 2. De-duplication limitations in each DOT (Data ONTAP) version in
a production environment iii. Be familiar with the DOT reversion process in
case of the need to downgrade a NetApp system at the customers request l. Be
familiar with Packet tracing from the NetApp perspective and from a client
perspective i. Be able to launch a packet trace on the filer and on the
client simultaneously to capture data to help resolve complex issues. 1.
PKTT 2. tcpcump 3. snoop 4. wireshark 5. ethereal m. Be familiar with CIFS
and be able to diagnose connectivity issues i. Authentication issues ii. AD
membership issues n. VMware knowledge is preferred 4) Data migration
experience is preferred a. Scripting in a unix or windows environment i.
Gather information from the source systems ii. Help to migrate data from
NetApp to NetApp during CR windows iii. Help to decommission NetApp systems
from the customer environment 1. disk sanitization experience is preferred
5) Operations Manager experience necessary: a. Be familiar with OM structure
and be familiar with keeping the OM server healthy (disk space, etc…). b.
Adding new hosts into Operations Manager (formerly known as DFM). c.
Diagnose and repair OM connectivity d. Use OM to generate custom reports or
to schedule recurring reports. 6) 10 Years experience with NetApp
technology.
