Notes:   The hiring VP needs a Team Lead.  This position would be 75% Hands
on work and 25% functional / leadership
There is no architecture experience needed. They have a team doing that.
He wants a Big data guy that came from ETL (Oracle PL/SQL ) etc and moved
into Hadoop.   Person would be the Sr Hadoop resource on his team.
MUST HAVE SPARK      --- TO SUME THINGS UP this person needs both PL/SQL
and Hadoop experience. Know right now  it will be about 75% PL/SQL and 25%
Hadoop but over the next year to year or year and ½ it will be trasitioning
more to Hadoop and eventually 80% Hadoop and 20% Pl/SQL
He wants a person with 10 years plus of experience in datawarehouse so I
need people that come from that side of the house and not java developers
that moved in Hadoop
 10+ years of technical experience, hands-on development. Lead technical
design for the domain, working closely with engineers. Work across
engineering teams.
Senior code author and craftsman, this engineer will be responsible for
code delivery in a timely and accurate fashion, and the overall review and
guidance of sprint and epic goals.  This engineer is expected to produce a
high volume of quality code, and to serve as the primary custodian of the
code branch and merge process.  This engineer is expected to be well read
and constantly identifying new technology and techniques for introduction
into ecosystem. Can deliver one to several epics (3 months, $500K) leading
up to 10 resources. Capable of being a Solutions engineer on multiple
projects focusing on designing, architecting major complex systems.

Coding Expectation - up to 70% of time

May be given responsibility for supervising, co-ordinating, participating
in the work of other team members.
Working with Team Lead to make effective use of resources during the
various stages of the work to ensure that business objectives are met and
deliverables achieved to agreed time, cost and quality.
Provide advice, guidance and assistance to less experienced colleagues as
required and input into the performance review of programming staff
Establishing mechanisms and procedures for the structured review of work
produced and ensuring that these are adhered to.
Establishing and maintaining agreed standards applicable to the work
undertaken and ensuring that these, and other mandatory standards and
architectures, are adhered to.
Providing expert guidance and assistance to colleagues in any aspect of
software design, creation, testing and documentation.
Providing expert advice in some or all aspects of the programming methods,
tools and/or

Technical Knowledge
Strong data warehousing and OLTP system knowledge from database/ETL
development perspective.
Strong Oracle database knowledge including database design, development
(package, procedure, functions, indexes)
Database code (SQL and PLSQL) performance tuning skills
Datastage 8.1 knowledge required
Unix commands and shell scripting knowledge
Big Data – Hadoop
NoSQL Databases: MongoDB, Cassendra
