Job description: This position serves as the principal developer of a new WebFOCUS environment for an insurance operations division. Performs all complex and high level development; directs the design, modification, maintenance and management of the environment including self-service adhoc pages and leaders’ portals. Required Technical Skills: • Ability to create a secure environment within a highly regulated industry, while maintaining a user access matrix that is simple to manage by a group. • Has necessary knowledge needed to build an end-user experience that is fully unimpeded by wait times or lag caused by complex back-end calculations or schema. • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve coding issues to fix dashboard as well as errors caused by data sources prone to frequent, unannounced change. • Advise more junior developers who are new to WebFOCUS. • Thorough working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets. • 5-6 years of progressive experience with WebFOCUS development. • 4 years of database architecture and database design. • 3 years of data analysis, construction and testing.
