The current system is functional but sub-optimized. System components include: Production server Operating Systems (SAN attached): Windows 2003 and 2008 standard and enterprise; SuSE Linux Enterprise 9, 10, 11; Solaris 10; Hyper-V; VMware ESX (Red Hat 5.1). Production server hardware: HP DL380, Dell 2950, Dell M619, Sun V245 SAN: CX3-20c (EMC by Dell) Backup environment: NetBackup 6.5.5 on SuSE Linux; Dell ML6020 LTO-3 tape backup system (primary), HP MSL5026 SDLT (secondary) Other: Brocade 4100 fabric switch The successful bidder will supply a staff resource with existing technical knowledge in most of the technical components described above, capable of configuring the backup solution so that all data is routed through the fabric switch (including cluster-aware configuration). (At present, data resident on the SAN is routed through the Ethernet LAN.).
