RAD is currently transitioning to a web-based application from an Access database platform and requires the implementation of several new features. Works with division management and developers to establish time tables and agree on a QA plan for software development implementation. Ensure that QA process is documented and communicated and adequate to ensure agreed quality levels for the application. Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements, working business analysts to ensure all requirements are tested, and to identify unit testing coverage and ensure any gaps are documented and addressed. Ensure testing of functional areas is complete, tracked and on-schedule. Assist in translating requirements into test cases to provide traceability and analyzing the results of system and integrated testing to ensure business and functional requirements are met. Assist in unit and integration testing. Create and execute functional system integration and regressions tests, test plans and strategies, communicate progress and issues through the generation of reports and verbal updates, and conduct risk analysis. Perform writing and executing of manual test cases. Responsible for reporting, tracking, and verifying defects. Your background should include: Technical skills Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on software QA experience in the development and execution of manual test cases of front-end applications and backend database testing Experience testing web-based applications; In-depth knowledge of testing .NET applications a plus Experience working in an Agile and Waterfall development lifecycles Must have experience in SQL Queries Knowledge of SDLC, quality standards and test methodologies Passion for clean, readable test plan and defect documentation Professional Skills Excellent communication skills, including written and oral, a must High attention to detail with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills Technically and methodically approach the problem for diagnosis and troubleshooting Creates a detailed design specific for the application components according to the requirements Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills are required as well as successful experience in managing timelines and task priorities, while meeting aggressive deadlines Effective at working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment managing multiple competing priorities Work proactively & independently to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address project delivery risks Self-motivated, self-starter who enjoys working with a strong team, must be excited about problem solving, thinks outside the box Uses time management skills to drive multiple project deliverables within a fast paced environment Must demonstrate ability to quickly and efficiently access relevant information, and be able to utilize and/or present research and conclusions in a clear and concise manner.
