Infrastructure and has responsibility for the company's local area networks, remote access platforms, wireless and wide area network infrastructures. This position is focused on internal IT service delivery for all employees. This position interacts directly with all I.T. functional areas (e.g. Helpdesk/Desktop Support, Telecom, Systems Administration (Windows & Linux) Security & Compliance and Applications Development & Support). The successful candidate must have a strong technical foundation in support of a variety of technical platforms, provide strong leadership and direction, excel at multi-tasking and have the ability to ramp up quickly in a dynamic, high-tech environment. *Primary Responsibilities:* • Provide first and second level support as it relates to the company's worldwide network infrastructure. • Provide 24x7x365 on-call support coverage. • Interface directly with all data network vendors to diagnose and resolve problems as well as to explore the use of new technologies in the company's environment. • Support, administer and maintain all company appliances, firewalls, Wifi and LAN/WAN components. • Monitor the performance of network components and take preemptive measures to minimize interruptions to company's business. • Monitor and analyze problems, ensuring problems are identified and solved as rapidly and efficiently as possible while ensuring continuous improvement. • Log all problems/failures in Numara Footprints trouble ticketing system and initiate RFC's when changes must be made to Production systems. • Ensure the prioritization and scheduling of all network projects and tasks. • Perform preventative maintenance of network hardware/software environments as well as upgrade/patching of these platforms. • Participate in the evaluation of hardware/software solutions and provide the technical direction. • Manage the configuration, deployment, maintenance and security processes for all mission critical network components. • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving network efficiency and effectiveness. • Develop and maintain network documentation for all installed network platforms. Requirements: • Minimum of 7+ years network experience in high-tech industry designing, implementing and managing and supporting network hardware and software solutions. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is highly desirable. • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, make decisions and solve problems while under pressure. • Must possess and demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. • Hands-on experience with Juniper products (firewalls, SSL VPN) is required • Additional technologies encountered are a variety of Cisco LAN switches, Aruba wireless, two-factor authentication, Solarwinds Netmon, DNS/DHCP . Proficiency required in the following areas: o Configuration, maintenance and support for OSPF routing. o Ability to diagnose problems at all levels of the OSI model. o Ability to effectively use Packet Capture utilities to diagnose complex network problems. o Configuration, maintenance and support of heterogeneous vendor IPSEC and SSL VPN solutions.
