*Need GC and US-citizen Only and Need Local Consultant* *Title : Database Administrator (Level V)* *Location : Charlotte, NC* *Duration : 12+ months Contract Job* *Job Description:* 7+ years of experience. Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Performs a variety of tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. *SQL Specific Requirements * • Perform SQL database administration including software installations/configurations for SQL Server 2008 to 2014 including SSDS, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and peripheral features/products such as log shipping, mirroring, and maintenance packs (dbcc, backups, re-indexing). • Perform database upgrades/migrations (SQL 2005 through 2012) • Troubleshoot complex systems to identify bottlenecks (SQL, IO, hardware, query related, etc); Resolve database related issues. • Provide production support in time sensitive situations in addition to providing support for multiple high profile applications/projects. • Support release rollouts/builds for application teams. This requires client management skills and a comfort with change management concepts. • Support project teams. This requires time management skills, comfort with bank processes, judgment regarding when to escalate issues to leads and management, and the ability to work as the SQL expert in part of a team.
