Knowledge experience with modern open source performance test tools (don’t want someone w/just very specific commercial tool like loadrunner, etc.) Role & Responsibilities As a member of the IoT quality engineering team, responsibilities include: • Design and implement a performance/stress/reliability methodology and test automation framework, including benchmarking tools, and associated reporting/analytics infrastructure • Work with architects, engineering, and devops teams to develop our performance testing strategy and define performance/scalability metrics and scenarios • Build and test highly horizontally scalable, distributed services that run in public, private and hybrid cloud infrastructures • Create functional and performance E2E tests leveraging opens source tools and enabled by continuous integration systems. • Build and test large scale messaging infrastructure, data replication, auto-scaling and stream processing • Profile all aspects of our software and technology stack to identify performance and scalability bottlenecks • Evangelize performance engineering best practices across disciplines and drive improvements across multiple teams Minimum Qualifications • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent • 5+ years of experience with software design and development. Highly proficient in one or more of Python, Java, or C++.
