OPEN POSITION ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Job Title: Data Analyst Level II Department Name: Customer Service Delivery Req#: 10204 Location: Torrance, California Shift & Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM PST (Monday through Friday) Position Overview The role of the Reporting Analyst (Data Analyst) is to manage all Customer Support Services reporting, partnering with the Interactive Network Support Center and Computer Customer Support Centers in an effort to identify efficiencies and common reporting metrics for the Customer Support Services department. The Reporting Analyst will assist with the development of ad-hoc queries, addressing business needs. Other duties include the creation of customized reporting that will aid day to day operations of the department. The Reporting Analyst will also be responsible for design/development/debugging of MS SQL Server tables, T-SQL stored procedures, T-SQL Queries and Access 2010 databases used for reporting within the department. The Reporting Analyst will also be responsible for all daily, weekly, monthly and regular interval reports being run and distributed in a timely manner. As a member of a larger team, the Reporting Analyst will also be focused on helping to achieve service levels with service quality by identifying and leveraging the “Voice of the Customer”, managing phone contact volumes, contributing to self-service content and identifying quality improvements. Duties/Responsibilities Reporting Manage daily, weekly, and monthly reporting Develop ad-hoc queries upon request that address business needs utilizing departmental tools, focusing on T-SQL and VBA Create customized reports that will aid in day to day operations utilizing departmental tools including MS Office 2016 and MS SQL Server 2008 departmental tools including MS Office 2016 and MS SQL Server 2008 Q/A all reporting before distribution to ensure accuracy Work toward fully automating all department reporting where possible Ensure complete and accurate documentation for all department reporting from both a technical and user perspective Manage Department Databases and Reporting Systems Manage all department databases, reporting systems, and documents Look for opportunities to improve efficiency in existing databases and processes Create and upkeep necessary interfaces (ODBS, Flat File, ADODB, Excel, etc.) to several data sources required for reporting needs Validate data consistency and availability reporting on any issue to Service Technical for remediation Design and maintain database objects (tables, indexes, store procedures, functions, etc. ) that support the reporting and data analytic requirements ( T-SQL, Access) Maintain and develop MS Office 2016 spreadsheets, databases, and other documents as needed Maintain the VBA code for such documents and look for opportunities to improve them Required Skills 3-4 years SQL/T-SQL experience (debugging) 3 years VBA experience (programming/debugging) AA Degree (+) or equivalent IT related experience with certifications Proven work history and reliability (2+ years at a single company) 2 years reporting experience to management level Ability to produce quality reporting with charts, graphs, pivot data, etc. Ability to transform data into workable knowledge.
