The individual in this position is knowledgeable in all aspects of designing and constructing logical and physical data models as well as developing the associated metadata that supports primarily operational data needs. *Responsibilities:* Construct, refine, and maintain information models using tools that meets overall business requirements. Participate in data governance processes to assure new databases and changes to existing databases meet the corporate standards. Work with various project teams on relational database design that adheres to the overall enterprise data architecture and best practices. Work with the project team in developing logical and physical data models that support analytic processes. Assist the Data Architect with master data object structural design and ensure that application database design is effectively leveraging corporate master data. Assist with performance tuning access to operation data structures. Mentor members of the development staff on writing efficient sql queries. *Required Skill* Personal Attributes: Confident, Self-starter, Strong work ethic, Highly motivated, Sense of humour, A Winning ‘Can-Do’ attitude, Team oriented. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (e.g., library science, engineering) is required. Minimum of three years in database design. Demonstrated capability of working on multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of business intelligence / data warehouse development techniques required (ETL, OLAP, MOLAP, ROLAP, star schema).
