We have an immediate opening for the below requirement and if you are interested fill the below details and send it to me with your updated resume ASAP. *Role: Senior Information Security Engineer* *Location: Reston, VA* *Duration: 6 months* **** Need local or Nearby **** *Job Description: * · Inventory current information resources and assist line-of-business management and IG Security Architect in selecting appropriate resource owners. · Work with resource owners in line-of-business organizations and IG Security Architect to determine appropriate security policies for securable resources. · Consult with IT Technical Services staff to evaluate, select, install, and configure hardware and software systems that provide appropriate security functions. · Assist resource owners and IT staff in understanding and responding to questions or actions raised in security audits. · Review operation logs and event console activity to determine cause of security-related events or to identify potential security-related events. · Lead security incident response and follow up on IT related security issues, and participate in investigations of suspected information security misuse or compliance. · Assist the IG Security Architect to track, document and publish security notifications related to College Board supported systems software and hardware and classify unresolved security exposures to management. Implement process and procedure to insure that appropriate engineering activity in support of these notifications. · Working with application development teams, document an overall security architecture framework ‘to-be’ state and institute applicable security patterns for all levels of the OSI model. · Assist in the documentation of security policies and maintenance of resource classification scheme · Present information on security status, project status, and security training to audiences at all organizational levels. · Provide support to IT and other business units as appropriate on responding to audits and other information requests. · Consult with IT and other organization management to ensure selection and use of realistic enforcement mechanisms. · Provide technical expertise and oversee the administration of security tools that control and monitor information security, including: updating access control tables; setting up user logon authentication and account access; designing computer system access reports to identify possible security violations; managing and monitoring systems access · Stay abreast of new developments related to security software, tools and devices and assess their application to the overall system architecture. · Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry and legislative requirements related to information security. · Develop and perform awareness presentations and train information owners in the appropriate use of information and in the implementation of necessary computer security controls and/or systems. · Ability to work off-shifts (evening, night-time, weekend)Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment procedures, policy formation, role-based authorization methodologies, authentication technologies, and security attack pathologies · Technical proficiency in security-related hardware and software especially with key IT systems or applications including: · key software elements such as web server, application servers, databases, and messaging middleware · key network elements such as LDAP,IP,SSH, SFTP, VPN, Firewall · key server elements NT, AIX, Linux · desktop technologies such as Windows, Symantec.
