Please)* Job Title : *Oracle DBA* Location : Detroit, MI Duration : 3 MONTHS contract *Required and desired skills: * Oracle DB Admin of 10g or higher (11g desirable) Installation and configuration of CDC is required Oracle Database performance tuning including indexes, Oracle statistics and oracle optimization SQL review and tuning System / Stress testing (from a Database perspective) Oracle RAC is desired Setting up proper DB System monitoring to flag pending events (e.g. re-size, re-org, etc.) Working with team leads to coordinate system changes Working with DATA INFRASTRUCTURE Tech Support team for all oracle installs / upgrades Familiar with Data Warehouse implementation including dimensional modeling *Roles & Responsibilities: * Implement near-real time for Data Warehouse for sales and inventory data Review current Oracle implementation including, backup, recovery, security, sizing, monitoring, etc. to recommend/implement improvements Work with team leads to implement database changes as required and approved. Work with Tech Support and application development teams through performance issues as required. Review all long running SQL statements for improvements Participation in multi-landscape design solutions, architecture recommendations, and client strategies for continuous improvement Work with Tech support to assure appropriate maintenance is applied to systems.
