The candidate will also be involved with database performance monitoring and tuning, and managing highly-available production database instances for corporate systems. These databases are critical to the efficient operation of the systems used by various business entities throughout Orange & Rockland county. **The position requires a valid driver's license. The candidate must also be willing and able to travel within the service territory as required to attend meetings and provide support as necessary. The candidate must be flexible with respect to working off-hours as required for database projects or upgrades, production support or in response to corporate emergencies.** Required Skills: This position is for a DB2 Database Administrator. A qualified candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in DB2 database administration including DB2 V10 or later, standard DB2 utilities, SPUFI, Stored Procedures, JCL, TSO/ISPF, QMF, File Manager for DB2, BMC Alter and BMC Load Plus. • Candidate must have excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills. • Candidate must be available to work weekends and overtime, if necessary.
