Job Description: *Summary:* In the role of SQL Developer, the qualified candidate will be responsible for developing database processes using Microsoft SQL Server platform. The ability to think critically and understand relational data is fundamental to this role. The SQL Developer must provide excellence in database development as part of a team to meet business needs and client deliverables through creation and enhancement of SQL-based business processes and custom T-SQL scripting to support internal business software application stacks. This developer will not be doing BI, ETL, or DBA work. The main focus will be on business process automation and implementing the business-logic layer of software. *Essential Duties/Responsibilities:* • Develop and implement strategies for business process automation • Support application development by delivering database-layer business logic implementation for internal applications • Write, maintain, and troubleshoot complex SQL and stored procedures • Critically evaluate data to understand its context and relevance to the business • Analyze and aggregate data to draw conclusions on suitable business process automation paths • Approach novel business processes through database modeling and normalized relational models. • Follows and enhances the team's development techniques • Identifies and recommends options, risks, and alternatives to delivery • Will work independently or with minimal guidance for design, development and testing. • Uses appropriate change control procedures for implementing software enhancements. *Education:* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant business discipline from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent work experience. *Required Experience:* A minimum of 4-5 years SQL Server experience writing stored procedures; experience with automating business processes/workflows or supporting a custom application with a SQL server backend *Role Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* • Must have expert experience with T-SQL development and writing stored procedures • Comfortable with entity-relationship models and data normalization • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Fast learner able to quickly learn complex business processes • Nice to have: SQL RedGate Tools experience, SVN experience • Detail oriented, self-motivated individual that can work independently on a variety of simultaneous projects. • Familiarity with business rules engines, BRMS, and/or workflow engines is a plus *Working Conditions:* • This is a team work environment in cube or open work area. • Duties are performed during standard business hours and overtime based on project requirements. • Overtime hours may be necessary, especially during critical issue resolution and to achieve project milestones. • The qualified SQL Developer will be part of a team environment and will contribute to NRG’s SQL Server stored procedure, data processing, and database development needs Regards *Mayank* 978-558-4666 x 103 *may...@teknavigators.com* <may...@teknavigators.com> *TekNavigators LLC* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
