*Position Description*





RFIT data management is seeking a well-qualified individual for Senior Java
Developer - Big Data role to work with the architect. This individual will
deal with complex, interrelated applications and systems being designed for
today's big data platforms, and will work with rapidly evolving
technologies and internal stakeholders to analyze and define unique and
innovative solutions for achieving strategic business goals.





*Job Responsibilities*

   - Participate in Sprint planning and tasks assigned by application
   development managers.
   - Analyze the business requirements and has the ability to convert them
   into detailed program logic.
   - Design, develop, test, and implement the application
   - Investigate and resolve complex issues while supporting existing
   applications
   - Check platform problem reports from business teams, and perform
   initial filtering and analysis of the problems
   - Resolve business issues within a timely manner.
   - Effectively respond to technical queries / requests from team members
   and customers.
   - Communicate regularly with business and I.T leadership teams
   - Collaborate with third party integration vendors and in house teams
   that build the custom components for the company.
   - Adhere to applications security procedures and change control
   guidelines
   - Work within internal I.T. team to collaborate on tasks and completion
   of varying workloads
   - Complete assigned tasks based on pre-planned project deadlines
   - Troubleshoot issues and develop resolutions
   - Reviews modules for quality assurance and checks compliance with
   applications architecture standards at system level

*Qualifications*

   - 10+ years of experience as a technology leader designing and
   developing complex, high throughput, multi-tier, highly scalable and fault
   tolerant data architecture solutions with more than 3+ years specializing
   in big data architecture.
   - BS in computer science, MS preferred. Degree from a top-ranked
   computer science schools a plus.
   - Ability to create a productive environment that promotes initiative,
   innovation, and continual improvement.
   - Able to document and clearly explain technical solutions to both
   technical and non-technical teams.
   - Hadoop Certification from an established distribution vendor, such as
   Cloudera is a big plus.

*Experience*

   - Extensive experience with designing and developing “large-scale” java
   based enterprise applications that can handle massive data.
   - Strong experience with enterprise Java development— Spring Framework,
   JEE, JMS, J2EE etc.
   - Must have Hands-on experience with Spring framework including Spring
   Boot, Spring Security, Spring Batch, Spring Cloud Stream, Spring MVC ,
   Spring Data
   - Must have experience with Big Data platforms and technologies,
   specifically hands-on experience with one or more major Hadoop
   distributions and various ecosystem components (e.g. Sqoop, Flume, Kafka,
   Impala, Spark etc.)
   - Must have experience with Oracle pl/sql and stored procedure coding.

·         Experience in developing web services technologies (SOAP and
RESTful)

   - Exceptionally good with code , unit testing to deliver defect free
   codes
   - Experience with caching solutions a plus.
   - Experience with WebSphere, WebLogic or  other Application Server
   runtimes.

·         Experience in implementing and maintaining SOLR  a plus

   - Strong analytical skills to research and solve problems
   - Experience with UML modeling tools.
   - Experience in Agile methodologies like Scrum.
