Please send the resumes at r...@cncconsulting.com Job Title: ETL Developer Location: Albany, NY Duration: 2 Years F2F Scope of Work The Consultant shall: Work with the Data Analytics Bureau and the Division of the Chief Information Officer (“CIO”) staff to assist with the build-out of the current OSC environment for both infrastructure and tools as they relate to Data Analytics and the necessary supporting technologies, such as data warehousing, business intelligence, statistical analysis, and data exchanges with external agencies/entities. Tasks will include, but are not limited to: ◦Reviewing and analyzing the existing FirstNY and new Data Analytics warehouse environments and other external sources in order to design and architect a system communicating this information to Data Analytics Bureau staff and OSC; ◦Assisting with the implementation of Data Analytics architecture design to accept structured and unstructured datasets as they are acquired through the Data Analytics Bureau; ◦Assisting with the implementation of Pentaho ETL environment, including fact and dimensional models as defined through user story and use case development from business analysis teams; ◦Assisting in the design of Tableau/OBIEE dashboards and reporting as defined through user story and use case development from business analysis teams: and ◦Assisting with the extraction, transformation and loading of newly identified/acquired data into a secure Data Analytics environment. •Work with CIO and OSC business customers to define and build ETL transformations in Pentaho. •Provide ongoing knowledge transfer to State resources on all work completed above. Minimum Qualifications The Consultant must possess the following minimum qualifications: •A computer science or information technology related Bachelor’s Degree (4-year degree); •Five years of experience developing and maintaining a data interchange system interfacing with a wide array of varying data sets including flat file and xml transactions; •Five years of experience working with the Pentaho ETL tool; •Five years of experience working with BI and data visualization tools, such as OBIEE and Tableau; •Five years of experience with SQL; •Five years of experience in Kimball’s data warehouse development methodology; and •Five years of experience with technical user documentation for knowledge transfers. Preferred Qualifications OSC will give preference to candidates with the following qualifications: •Strong communication skills working with both technical and non-technical staff, including: ◦Strong presentation and verbal skills demonstrating the ability to communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience, ◦Strong written skills with the ability to document technical designs, and ◦Strong instructional skills for mentoring and knowledge transfer through hands-on training.
