Technical PM 6-12 Months contract role Rocky Hill, CT GC or USC only Contract position This Position needs to have strong project management, coordination and meeting management skills. Those with past experience in hands on technology role will be preferred • Excellent skills managing virtual teams • Strong IT infrastructure knowledge Preferred qualifications/experience: • General IT architecture knowledge • Past experience as PM as well as BA and/or Architect • System Decommissioning • Data archival • Previous experience with CA Clarity PPM software • Big Data Technology (Hadoop, Hive, Elastic Search, Object Storage) • Need expertise in Excel, Visio, Work, MS project • ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) project design and development deliverable • PMP certification IDEAL BACKGROUND: We are looking for a strong candidate with 5+ PM experience to handle Decom projects. PROJECT: Manage multiple small projects (about 4-10) at the same time, with small teams and low supervision. Work with stakeholders, lead meetings, work with various operations teams (infrastructure, dbas etc), IT and Business. The candidate should have experience with virtual teams. As an Technical Lead/Technical PM within our Optum Technology Software Development Organization you will be working on Optum Applications and systems. You will predominantly be involved in working with technical and business teams working on decommissioning systems. You will work on projects that span multiple functional areas and applications, managing project scheduling, business analysis, technical design, documentation, project planning and tracking. There is a great deal of growth potential in this role. Expected to work in a matrixed organization and will receive coaching as needed from more senior staff.
