software development lifecycle experience Design and Development, Waterfall
and Agile
10+ years of web development, including expertise in HTML, CSS, AJAX,
JavaScript and at least one of the following - PHP or a similar
object-oriented server-side scripting language
Significant exposure to and demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of
programming and analysis including design patterns, hardware and software
requirements, systems requirements and deployment protocols.
Strong Internet technologies background including XML, Web Services and web
development frameworks (Zend or similar).
Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript,
AJAX etc
Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
Understanding of MVC design patterns
Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
Understanding accessibility and security compliance {{Depending on the
specific project}}
Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their
solutions
Expert in at least one PHP framework, preferably Zend 2 Framework
Significant experience with commercial code and release management tools
(Jira, Bamboo).
Experience with Application Servers, experience with the Apache Tomcat
Application Server is strongly desired.
Extensive experience designing and implementing Web Services, REST, SOAP.
Experience with UNIX / Linux shell scripting and SQL.
Experience with Spring MVC / Spring Webflow strongly desired.
Understanding of common delivery and communication technologies including
HTTP, SSL, SMTP, UDP, TCP/IP, RMI
Experience with procedural scripting languages e.g. Maven, JavaScript,
VBScript, Perl, BASH, MS Batch
Experience with configuration management systems (e.g., Github, Perforce)
Experience with content management systems (e.g., Tridion, GoPublish)
Strong understanding and experience with agile software development
methodology
Able to identify problems and opportunities, and champion solutions within
the scope of own work.
Ability to complete tasks on time and in budget within a climate of
frequent market change and shifting needs; ability to do so with minimal
management oversight.
Disciplined approach to maintaining and enforcing engineering standards and
best practices
